here it is. sisters from another mister boutique! I just recently started making heat therapy wraps for easing achey muscles. because lord knows at the end of the day chasing two toddlers, i need it . Other uses are soothing sore muscles, leg cramps, knee pain, post surgical discomfort, neck pain, arthritis pain, fibromyalgia pain, back pain, comforting when ill, warming cold hands and feet in cool weather, keeping food warm.

they are about 17 x4in and are filled with a mix of rice and lentils to keep you warm and cozy. i can also add lavender or dried mint for a soothing scent.

the inside is a muslin cloth, and the outside is a slip cover for easy cleaning! i have a choice of fleece material or 100% cotton.

love these little guys. and i have lots of adorable fabric to choose from! Go check it out! go ! go!

a day at the races

so our good friends had free tickets to the races this past weekend. the boys absolutly loved it(just not the sitting down part) they dug the cool ear plugs, the cheering for the fast cars, the CRAAASH of the bang ups when the cars smashed into one and other. and Yes their heads turned in unison as the cars sped past. thanks Jess for the free tickets and the GREAT day

i am a debt warrior

i will attack fiercly and bravely, even if that does mean moving home with my dad to play catch up. these major bills have nothing on me! and it starts tomorrow, with this first paycheck. let them try and crush my hopes of never having a house. i WILL prevail. dammit.

Love Was Kind

not an argument between the two of us all day, we worked together, laughed together , got frustrated at the kids together. and at the end of the day still had patience with one and other and slept easy. well. i slept like a baby. he was kind, and re-primed the whole dining room while i drueled on the couch, and didnt wake me up to help him. what a happpy surprise when he moved me to my room. i was thrilled that it was done.

its a good feeling being happy and calm all day.

the boys we're particularly trying this morning as they realized i was departing for the baby shower, but he helped keep them busy and was patient with me while i ran around like a chicken with my head cut off.

later in the evening we had a disagreement over work ethic and financial aspects, but we resolved our spat, by going to bed angry. we talked it over in the morning and realized the lack of communication ( as i banged my head off the wall) and figured out what we needed to do.

ugh. who knew love and money can be so intertwined.


today the Dare is to be Kind to one and other.

The Love dare Day 0

So tomorrow, i start the Love dare. It's a program to make promises to yourself and your spouse to treat each other with love and respect. each day is a new dare that you carry out thru the forty days and beyond.

the first dare is Love is Patient.

This hits home, with a crazy household, raising two toddlers, and trying to make a barely there budget work. i can relate at how many times i have lost my temper with him, myself my kids, just life in general. It says that patience isn't just not snapping at whoever has crossed you, but a deep breath, a fresh start. its better if you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all(thanks bambi)

i tell you what, i know we have room to grow in our marriage, and we definatly have to be a team to survive my little monkeys(monsters) so, here we go.

i Dare myself to be Patient all day tomorrow not only with my husband but with myself as well.

isn't it amazing how songs attach themselves to memories? i've been going through old Cd's tonight and being blasted into the past.

i lost a friend today, to an overdose so they say. we weren't very very close recently, as she had moved out of state for a while, but she was over with her daugther the other day, i lent her money for groceries, so she could feed her lil girl. down on her luck. poor hunni. go figure things were looking up.

breaks my heart. but finding all this music from shows we used to attend together is bitter sweet

getting your kids to sit still for more than an 1/8th of a meal

we've tryed extra snacks, sticker rewards, praising, pleading, distracting with toys, making their absolute favorite,

and my kids wont sit still for beans, which let me tell you, makes for fun outings, we've given up going anywhere for meals. which saves a bit of money, but darn it , sometimes i just don't wanna clean the mess up.

do any of you lovley bloggers out there have ANY ideas on how to keep the monkeys at the table. we've tried everything from time outs to early bed times, to extra special treats after if they do sit, the most they'll do is about 5 minutes. and then they wanna go go go go go.

Today's the march of Dimes walk, and its pouring, oh well. we shall march on. we have beautiful pink shirts that were lovinginly decorated by Sadie's mom and Dad. and will be holding pink ballons and with that ill leave you with a song to suit my mood

playdates and mommys night outs!

the last two months my kiddos have been very busy growing as people, and i have been very busy making new mommy friends! oh how life has changed since 3 years ago, when we were out every friday night and sleeping till noon on the weekends. but i gotta tell ya, i love it. i really really do. Taking Charge of the buffalo moms rock playgroup may have been the best thing i ever did for myself, i get out of the house more, actually get dressed before noon( most of the time) and the kids are happier, more social and talking more! even mike has a little more pep in his step. here are some pictures from the last month's festivities. including our friday nigth MNO where five of us packed into the back of a cop car :) yea it was a tight squeeze. think 3 mommas one preggo mom and a very nice boy. hahaha oh my stars. what a night it was. oh, and don't forget about the bull riding!!

sleep..or the lack of..

Now im not talking about NOT sleeping, i'm talkin about all the traveling i seem to be doing while im sleeping. My dreams have NEVER been so freekin crazy busy. i wake up and feel as if i haven't had a moments rest. but i vividly remember my wild night of... whatever it was we wre up to. man. some of the shenannagins i get into in my dream world. fighting alien(thanks war of the worlds) or building underground tunnels( thanks whatever showtime movie That was. ha.) or heck. dreaming about storybooks coming to life, that was totally inkheart that i watched. i'm coming to the conclusion, that i must definatly not watch tv or read before bedtime. my brain cant take it. okay time for a catnap. hopefully i wont dream of blogging. ha

After all the Daytime Highschool drama that was sent my way today, i feel as if i may need some wine, and a cookie. definatly a cookie. with extra filling.

its not easy being Head Honcho of a Moms group, we have over 150 active members, and boy. some girls just wanna start shit. seroiusly, this isnt highschool, grow up. put on your big girl panties, and deal with it. its not all about who did what and who said what. if you can't place nice, scoot.

march for me

so today we've been working on our ideas for the march of dimes walk. everything is slowly falling into place for my fried Dee. She needs a good support group more than ever as her Due date approches. My heart breaks for her and her husband. I got to see Sadie's small beautiful urn yesterday nestled on a shelf with all of her little memories, quite beautiful indeed. i felt special to have her share that with me.

the march of dimes helps raise funds to help keep babies born too soon alive. i think its beautiful that this non for profit exisits to help provide medical treatment and continue to update research, so come on guys. donate, even a buck, because it could be your baby too someday.

Hello Freezing cold weather,

85 last weekend, 35 with some snow this weekend. Wait, what why? i didn't even get to flirt with you my springy friend, and alas buffalo has ran you out already. im Really hoping the weather comes back, as i wanted to get my gardens in this month :( anyone have a favorite thing to plant that you save tons of money on?

today the rain is coming down sideways, but it looks beautiful. the trees are reaching up towards the sky to absorb it and use it to bloom.

the boys are sleeping blissfully in their rooms holding their 'babies' and hopefully dreaming sweet dreams. im listening to the same 3 songs over and over again. and wondering what you are thinking about?

the ghost made a visit again today, pulling all of my xmas cards down. i guess they don't like my "lazy" decoratings. yes i know its april. but please don't remind me by giving me a heart attack. for real.

i've been trying hard to decide if when the boys start school they should be seperated or not, for those of you thta have met my kids, you know they are stuck on each other like glue. at this point im thinking it would cause more damage than not. only time will tell.

my heart has a few extra rooms for rent

So it has come to my attention recently, in leiu of playdates and beautiful children, and things i've recently seen on T.V. , that my family is not whole yet. Yes ,Yes, i know mike just had a vasectomy, and we can no longer Physcially have children, but my heart is still not quite full yet. So Mike and i sat down the other night, and talked about Adoption, not yet, no.. the kids are a handfull right now, but when mike is done with nursing school, and the boys are in school themselves, we are both ready to accept another heart, or hearts, into our lives, Who are we to turn our backs on children that need us. We're put on this earth to love, nurture, teach children the right thing to do, but in foster homes, and in orphanages this sit, if they are not wandering the streets, fighting to stay warm.

no, no that just wont do.

so my friends, we Will adopt, we Will make a difference. and We will love them with all of our hearts.

6. working more with my children on their speech, as it seems to be blooming as of this weekend
7. finding the way to pay at least $100 on each card a month. (yikes)
8. budgeting, yea.. the tough one. so that we can one day afford a healthy lifestyle and a mortgage without going into shock.

weekend rundown.

My oh My did we have a fun filled weekend, the monkeys behaved,(mostly) and we got to catch up on everyones lives, friday night we just hung out as mike had to work saturday morning, but saturday night was a great time at the casino buffet with mike and his parents, who dress up nice if i do say so myself. Dad got to spend some time with the wondertwins, and i think he appreciates how much work i do all day long. Mikeys brother took up babysitting sat evening and off to see some old friends we went.

Sunday i was brave and had ten little kids running around here at the crazy house. thats 100 fingers to get into things, 10 mouths to screech, and 10 smiles playing nicely together, while the parents got to better know each other. no accidents, no tears,(mostly) and everyone was pooped out by the end of the dance party. boy i am starting to get the hang of this mom thing. especially finding the balence between mom and me

only 3 months till my little cousin comes to stay for the summer. it'll be great to have her here And ill get a preview of teenagerdom

Have you ever witnessed a flock of birds take flight, i mean Thousands of birds at once? it truely is remarkable, the air looks as if its full of energy, shifting and moving in sync, but never losing sight of where each set of wings are.

today went great, until it didnt. came home had a great walk with the kids, my shoulder started to hurt, i got cranky, mike got cranky to match. the kids got crankier, alex got his hand pinched in the door. and now everyones sitting on the couch ignoring each other. yay.

you know, i've never thrown myself into anything crazy, not in a long time. i havent shown terrible interest in anything unknown, but this week, ive started collecting for the March of Dimes, why? because it makes a huge difference to some tiny people. ones that cant help themselves, that are vulnerable and weak, but fighters none the same.

i tell ya what. with that money, i can help babies born to early LIVE , to grow up to be teachers, peace keepers, world leaders.

but only if someone like me finds the time to throw myself into it.

We are doing the march of dimes for a friend whos baby did NOT make it, in Sadies memory. We will walk because that is all her mommy can do to try and make it right. it gives her a little hope to hold onto, knowing that maybe she can be someone elses angel.

are we really happy with who we are right now?

no new pictures to throw on up right this minute, but however i am going to TWO awesome concerts in the new few months( ya see.. this mom/grownup/housewife/responsible sensible me needs to be caged sometimes to let ME back out.. so i'm going to see paramore with my sister in columbus in may, and in april the hubbs and i are going to see Alexisonfire. oh. im so pumped. they are fantastic live. FANTASTIC. i only wish they were touring with .Moneen. still ...sigh. okay.

on a mom related side, the kids are on the mend. they had a lovley playdate today, minimal tantrums over who got the choo coo or truck. :O)

oh my word am i tired, what a long day its turing out to be today.

Last night was my first Mommys night out! it was superb! We had Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martinis, and tasty apple cream cheese sammiches. boy oh boy. it was fabulous to be out of the house, and with people that understand being a mom. i can't wait for the next one at Taste in East Aurora. (pictures to follow) :) as for me.. its naptime.

The boys had their first big kid play date at the mall today. they had a ball. as you can see. they fought over the girl :O)

My boys Turned two, never have i ever been prouder, they can talk so much more , climb higher, yell louder, compete against other for attention, feed themselves, dress(sort of) themselves, watch a tv show for a solid half hour. and give real hugs and kisses.

oh i made quite the pair, and oh, i never knew i could love anything so much, until i loved them even more

Nana is doing better, yesterday they had her up and out of bed for a while gaining some stregnth in her new bionic woman style hip. itll be a bit of recovery thats for sure.but here's to hoping its a swift one.

im waiting for my husband to get out of the shower so i can head back out to the hospital to check on her today.

i called my mom today to tell her all about my new job, and she tells me shes taking my nana to the hospital because she fell down the stairs and probably broke her hip.

Today, i would really like the boys to simmer down and take a nap. I'm still getting better from whatever the heck i did to my tonsils by trying to get yucky stuff unstuck. yea. great idea. and i would kill for a minute to myself, well.. maybe not kill.. but risk my kids losing their voices just to get a minutes peace around here.

Anywho. they're both SCREECHING at the tippy top of their lungs at the unjustice i have caused them by placing them in their very nice very comfy cribs with their doggys and a fan going. HOW DARE I provide them with the nap they need to prevent a nuclear melt down around dinner time, cuz no mom in this house will dare give them a nap at five pm, only to have them raring to go at say... 11:30 pm. nope, not me.

So if any of you are good at astral projection, can you please mosey on into their rooms and tell them"hey, it's alright, everyone needs a nap, the world would be a much better place!" cuz if I go in there it's all over. We start from square one.

i'll let it go for 20 minutes to see if Cole takes a chill pill, or exhausts himself.

and dont have much to vent about today other than some people are so involved in themselves that they dont believe you when you say your sick. i didnt feel like being around a party full of people all evening, and i wasnt about to bring the kids to chase either. kiss my butt. im sick. it's nothing against you, unless of course you want my flu or whatever the crap this is.. cuz seriously... you can have it.

today alex was in a mood, the kind of mood where ya looked at him and he came out swinging.
he swung in fact, and clocked his brother right in the dome. well.. i cant let this go on, so i place him in our time out chair. not only was he outraged at this, but his brother was sad that he was in trouble, so he sat at the foot of the chair, and they both cried... nevertheless, they both sat there until the time ran out.. alex got down, and his brother smacked him back. nothing like delayed gratifacation... and we repeat the process.. four times.. sigh...

i've been trying today to think about the positive things in my life, and how much tougher we could have it even when i want to cry and scream about the bills being a little late, or not spending money on those shoes i really just Have to have. every person on the street has something going on in their lives too. So come on everyone, let that person into the traffic line, pay for a coffee, say Thank you when someone holds a door, and hold a door for someone else. one small act of kindness could really change someones day, because they too, are fighting something, no matter how small

hey all! its been a lil while since i last posted anything real

today we're going to talk about the crazy people at the gym
you know the ones, who after45 min of insanly fast paced jogging on the eliptical, have yet to break a sweat, while me personally am struggling to remember to breathe, and trying to remember my name.

those people who have been up and at it for a while before you even walked thru the doors, and are still going far after your legs are rubber and your arms are jelly

running from the back of the house to the front a gazillion times looking for said toddlers, juice cups, missing cellphone, remote, carkeys, cookie... you get the point... 87 calories on a low day.
dancing with two 30 lb toddlers on either hip. i dont even wanna know how many for that.. tho i do know i get a hefty work out cuz i can't walk for hours after without a wince.

okay so.. maybe i am that crazy person.. just at my home gym instead.

i sit here in tears this morning, as my kids rip apart my living room, destroying all my hard work, there's just too much stuff to contend with here. when they go down for their nap im going to be doing some serious downsizing wiht their toys. they're just not all necessary now. and i doubt they'll even notice. we have a whole toy box and three laundry baskets full of stuff. not to mention the riding toys and trucks and cars. ARRRUUUGGGGHHH. if i step on one more matchbox car ill scream. again. i think cabin fever is setting in

i promise to listen more, talk less
learn something new every day
truly pay attention to what im putting into my body
be amazed at all the good one person can do in the world

and not treat dissapointment like failure, its just not the same.
